  1. Chevening Scholarship – A state-governed global scholarship program, this scholarship supports students with high academic potential. Non-Government Scholarships
  1. GREAT Scholarships (India) – GREAT Scholarships offer 60 scholarships across a variety of subjects in the UK to Indian students. Each scholarship is worth a minimum of £10,000 tuition fee amount for a one-year postgraduate program.   1. UK Scholarships from British Council – International students aiming to pursue a Bachelors or a Master’s degree in the UK can seek an IELTS award by the British Council. The amount may range from £3,000 up to £10,000.
  1. British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM – The British Council has launched a scholarship program in partnership with 19 UK universities aimed at benefiting women from America, South Asia and SouthEast Asia, and are looking for women with a background in STEM. This scholarship program aims to increase opportunities in STEM for girls and women.

University Scholarships
  • Gates Cambridge Scholarship – One of the best universities in the UK and in the world, the University offers financial support to excellent foreign applicants to help them attend a full-time postgraduate course at this University. This scholarship covers all study expenses.
  • Rhodes House Scholarship – This scheme awards scholarships to postgraduate students aiming to study at the University of Oxford. Every year, 95 exceptional students are eligible to receive these scholarships. The bursary covers full tuition fee and partial travel cost.

  • Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship – It is offered by the Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish universities in the areas of science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy. The scheme offers up to 50 awards worth £8000, towards tuition fees for any one year of full time study on a postgraduate Masters programme at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions
  • MBA Skoll Scholarship – Awarded by the University of Oxford to international students with relevant experience leading an enterprise for at least 12 months. The MBA Skoll Scholarship covers all tuition fees and essential living costs.
  • Denys Holland Scholarship – The University College London offers some bursaries for foreign undergraduate scholars who can’t fund their education abroad. Awardees collect £9,000 per an academic year and are free to decide how they’re going to spend them whether paying tuition fees or living costs. It’s preferable to be aged 25 or below at the start of your studies there.
  • Bristol University Scholarships – Offers 5 scholarships for prospect foreign undergraduate students, accounting for £8,500.
  • Kingston University London Scholarships – Offers scholarship worth £4,000, covering partial tuition fee for international students.
  • University of Sussex International Scholarships – Non-EU students attending a full-time Taught Postgraduate Program at the University of Sussex are eligible to apply for this scholarship. It covers half the cost of university tuition fees.

Entry Criteria to Study in the UK

It’s a known fact that many recognized professionals across the world are alumni of British universities. You need the following documents to gain admission to a UK university:

  1. Qualifications and Grades: The total grades required may vary on the basis of the course and university you apply for.
  2. Evidence of English language proficiency: Universities in the UK accept a variety of English standardized examinations. While IELTS is the most popular exam for studying in the UK, other standardized examinations are TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, or UCLES.
  3. Document of Identification: Your university application should include an ID document. This component usually requires a copy of your passport.
  4. Experience and References: References and experience documents are submitted during admissions to demonstrate that you have the academic and professional skills to succeed in your chosen program. The time you spent in that experience, the role you played, and the relevance of that experience to your professional field are the three key variables that go into determining your score for this section. Post-Study Work Rights in the UK

  • The Graduate route will be available to international students who have completed a degree at undergraduate level or above with a track record of compliance, and who have valid Tier 4 Visa or Student permission at the time of application.
  • Successful applicants on this route at bachelor’s or master’s level will be able to stay in the UK and work or look for work, at any skill level for two years. For Ph.D. or other  doctoral qualifications, successful applicants are issued a Graduate visa for three years.
  • Graduates will be able to apply to the Skilled Worker route from within the UK once they have found a suitable job.

Individuals who already have permission as a dependant of a Student who is applying on this route can also apply to extend their permission as a dependant – however new dependents are not permitted on this route.

UK Study Visa Requirement

Here’s a list of documents required to apply for the UK Student Visa:

  • A current passport or other valid travel documentation
  • Evidence of funds to provide your living expenses for the duration of your course
  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number and documents 
  • Passport-sized colour photographs
  • Tuberculosis screening 
  • Academic Technology Approval Scheme clearance certificate (if required)

Additional documents may also be needed if you are: 

  • Not a citizen of the country you are applying from
  • Under 18 years of age
  • Have dependents
